Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review

Hello, again.

I thought I'd do a little review on a product I have really been loving recently which is the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (£19.50).

I had been reading bits and bobs about the upcoming launch of this around and about the internet (when Ruth Crilly of A Model Recommends said it was a hit, I was all over it) and was eagerly awaiting it's release.
Then, when I saw on the old faithful that is Twitter, that Elle magazine were offering a sample size to readers as an early release, I hopped, skipped and jumped down to my local newsagent faster than you can say 'lengthening lashes'.

(Side note: I've never purchased Elle magazine before and although some of the content was good, I was astounded by the sheer amount of adverts ?! Perhaps it's too fancy for me!)

My first try was a success - a true love at first...go? It really did seem to hook my lashes up and outwards and really add length by the (centi)metres. This is by no means a volumising mascara, but lengthening? yes, it's definitely top of it's game for that. Benefit do suggest using the 'They're Real' mascara after applying the 'Roller Lash' for a spiffing mixture of length and volume - which I have tried and was pleased with the results. It also promises to keep the curl all day and although I haven't been blown away by those results, I have definitely noticed that my lashes don't droop as much or as quickly throughout the day as they used to. I don't experience any fall out throughout the day but it doesn't cling around too much that it's a bugger to get off in the evening.

So, obviously when I received a Debenhams voucher for my birthday, I was straight in there to purchase the full size. Now, I don't know whether it's my pure imagination (cue Willy Wonka) or not but it seems to me as though the full size offering is slightly wetter than the sample size and I feel as though perhaps I need to wait until it dries out a little.

I have since gone back to my other, 'old' mascaras and to be honest, absolutely nothing matches up. I am hooked (both in the addiction sense and also literal).

Have you tried it? What are your thoughts?

Speak soon,

L xx
