2014 has been a pretty big year for me, in one way or another, so I thought I would reflect on it and share my hopes and dreams for 2015.

Hello, again.

Just a quick, short note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

I hope that you are enjoying all the festivities and that you are full of food, drink and merriment. I hope that you are fully surrounded by all your loved ones and that you take a moment to appreciate what they all mean to you.

Matching Morals

Hello again,

I have a thing about morals. They are pretty high on my priority agenda. I started thinking about how important it is for couples to have matching morals, and what it would be like for them to be on completely different pages in terms of hopes and dreams.

What's in my travel make up bag?

Hello again,

As Christmas and New Year approaches, Mr B, the babe and I will be doing a little bit of family visiting and travelling and so I thought now would be an opportune moment to show some of my absolute gems in my travel make up bag. These are ultimately my all time faves from my every day make up picks but also feature those totes important items which are quick and easy when all you want to do is get out of the door, semi-presentable, to go and have fun with the family.

Have a Little Patience

Hello again,

It has occurred to me this week the ability to have patience is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I think, in general, I am a fairly patient person. I think I take things in my stride, go with the flow and will always try and keep my calm. But I think that's when the balance is just right and I am a little in control of my surroundings.

Faking It

Hello again,

Recently I was on a really busy, crowded train (yes, I am one of those morons who goes to the Christmas Markets on Black Friday). In amongst all the hustle and bustle was a young girl - I would say about 7 or 8. she had some scraps of paper and a pen and was drawing and writing on her knee. She kept talking to her mother, across the aisle, about her make believe writings and drawings.

Life With a Merchant Navy Partner

Hello again,

Today, I thought I would chit chat about what life was like with a partner in the Merchant Navy. We will call him Mr B.
Mr B, fortunately, gave in his notice just before we were wed and is now at home full time, working his little socks off shore side. But the memories of what it was like are still raw and not that far away.

Hello, again.

Sometimes (quite often) I think about my teenage years and what kind of person I was and what kind of person I am now and have become.
I have thought and thought A LOT about my top five pieces of advice I would give my fifteen year old self

How To Be A Grown Up

Hello again,

The title of this post is obviously a complete and utter con because I quite honestly have no idea how to do all this grown up stuff, but a lot of major things have happened for me over the last 12 months and I hope that I've learnt at least something from it. Maybe through; engagement, graduation, marriage, pregnancy, motherhood and house buying, I might not have learnt how to be a grown up, but I may have learnt from some mistakes of 'what not to do'. Here are my top 10 tips on how to make it in this big old grown up world.

Life is Precious

 Hello, again.

Last year, I visited one of my relatives who had had a bit of a nasty accident, but to be honest it could have been a lot, LOT worse. Like dangerously bad. Whenever I think about it, it reminds me how precious and precarious life is.

Fish Fingers and Waffles

Hello, again.

I thought today I would talk about something which is a big part of my life – fussy eating.
So let’s begin. I am a fussy eater. Always have been and suspect always will be.
Allegedly when I was a very small baby I would eat whatever my parents ate mashed up but sadly my parents divorced when I was quite small and I then would refuse to eat anything unless it was Birds Eye fish fingers and waffles (no joke). I can presume that the sudden shock of an absent parent meant I decided to take back some control through my eating.
