Hello again,
Beauty
I know it's a proper old school-y classic but this month I've been loving the Benefit High Beam Highlighter. (£19.50) I rediscovered an old sample size and immediately went out and grabbed the full sized jobby. I just love how it highlights (funny that!) me in all the right places without being overtly glittery or tacky.
Hair
For hair, I was sucked into some pretty awesome advertising of the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer (£9.99). I thought it seemed pretty pricey but then all the reviews seemed pretty awesome so I jumped in. You really don't need alot but just the right amount really does help tame some of my dreaded frizz of the ol' barnet.
Clothing
Rather than some items of clothing this month, I have been loving a concept. The My Topshop Wardrobe has been hitting all the right buttons for me this month. I'll admit that I'm not a big Topshop wearer, I always think that I'm too on the rotund side to fit into their stuff. But I think I might be sold. You basically complete quite an extensive on line quiz and then it creates a personal profile with a style and key pieces you may be interested in. I know they are trying to lure me into buying from their site but it's kinda working. I think it's a fantastic way to get some great style ideas and then maybe buying key pieces from there and some others from else where.
Baby
As The Babe becomes more mobile, it's harder and harder to keep her under wraps whilst we're out and about. In steps The LittleLife reigns. I know that some people are against reigns for little ones but the little Ladybird rucksack is really comfy for her and any issues she has with the concept is completely ignored by the fact she can run free.
TV
Catastrophe is back on our screens and I couldn't be more thrilled. I bloody love it! The basic premise is that an American business man (Rob) meets and shacks up with British teacher (Sharon) whilst he is in London on business and she ends up pregnant. Hilarity ensues. (Rob and Sharon are the actors actual names and they also wrote it). Series 1 is currently on Sky Boxes if you want to catch and Series 2 is currently on Channel 4 Tuesdays 10pm. Well worth a watch.
Music
I was suckered into signing up to the 3 months free Apple Music and I can see how it could quite easily become my new addiction. It seems as though you can access any music for free and also download it to your phone for use off line. It also has playlists it might think I'm interested in based off of my likes and dislikes. I think really it's very similar to Spotify if you are familiar. I feel as though I am already trapped as I've downloaded loads of stuff to my phone and maybe when my free trial runs out, they might take it all off me?!
Fitness
Unfortunately I think I left my trainers in the locker at the gym and no one handed them in so they are lost forever more. Therefore I had to buy some new ones. It probably was about time to be honest as my old ones resembled something from back to the future. I got similar to these ones without the speckled bits (what's that all about?!). Sports Direct is a bloody nightmare though. You go in for trainers and you come out with socks, a sports bottle, a gym bag, sports bras etc etc etc
Random
This month I've randomly been loving Bourbon biscuits. Smaller and marginally healthier than a chocolate bar after dinner or mid afternoon, they give the perfect hit of chocolatey, sugary heaven
What have you been loving this month?
Speak soon,
L xx
