Goodbye 2014

Hello again,

2014 has been a pretty big year for me, in one way or another, so I thought I would reflect on it and share my hopes and dreams for 2015.

I started the year out, to be honest, a little scared. I was pregnant and Mr B had come home from sea and was yet to be employed. I was worried about financially how we were going to cope. I spent actual New Years Eve with my good friends watching TV and eating junk food before I raced over the bar Mr B was working in to bring in the New Year.

I can honestly, honestly say that every single day from then on has been a step up for me.

Mr B got an interview, and then the job. We found out we were having a baby girl. We planned and prepared for her arrival. We went on a little babymoon. I was feeling that I was really getting into the swing at work and travelling alot more and gaining more responsibility. Our perfect bundle of joy arrived and we spent every day since watching her grow into her beauty. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We looked for, bought and moved into our very own first home. I really settled in motherhood and maternity leave and made some really great new friendships and discoveries.

Yes, it's fair to say that 2014 has been a big year of change. And for someone who ain't so keen on change, I have to say it's been unbelievable. I can only hope 2015 brings more of the same.

Everyone always begins a new year full of hopes, dreams and resolutions which are usually long forgotten by Easter. But I'm hoping, with the help of this blog, I will be able to remain focused on my goals. I have recently started using the 'Daily Greatness Journal' which I will do a whole review on in the new year and it's really helping me outline my goals (short and long term) and stay focussed on them.

I truly hope everyone has had an amazing 2014 and that 2015 brings an abundance of happiness.

Speak soon,

L xx
